Artwork and Birthday Party Photos

The twins have been drawing a lot of pictures lately, so I thought I'd share some on our blog. Since I don't come here that often now, I just realized we had a great birthday party back in October and I haven't posted any photos.

Here is a link to more photos from the birthday party! I've only included two of them here below the artwork.

Since our last post we've added a new member to our family, Sasha Hollis, an 11-year old German Shepherd from Georgia. She joined the family back in December and made the Christmas trip back down to Georgia with the rest of the family. She's doing well at her new home and is a good guard dog. Don't mess with me, because this dog will eat you. Seriously, she is protective. Otherwise, she is very friendly to adults and children alike. As you can see, she's taken to the twins quite well.

Sophie and Mary are doing well and starting to read. It's fun watching their new discoveries. They enjoy kindergarten but get in each others way sometimes. They have very strong individual personalities and are competitive. We are already looking forward to separating them in first grade and wondering how that will go. They are almost never apart, and I think they enjoy each other most of the time - but it is a unique experience whenever I am with just one of them.

Sophie and Mary got a special school picture together.

We finally had our big winter snow - it almost waited until spring - on March 6th, our 14th wedding anniversary. It was nice to be snowed in for the day. The girls got to miss two days of school, which was fine with them. (I didn't mind staying home either.)
